Bag It Forward is a pilot program in Spring 2026 intended to achieve three goals in Fields Corner:

1. reduce panhandling

2. reduce litter

3. increase revenue for local businesses.

We've partnered with local outreach worker, Devon McNeil, of Not On Watch Mentoring and The Streets Lied to engage individuals who would benefit from Fields Bucks, food gift certificates. 

 

Participants will receive trash bags and collect litter throughout Fields Corner. When they return full bags, they earn Fields Bucks that can be spent at participating local businesses.
 
This program creates a win-win-win: our streets get cleaner, community members earn purchase power, and businesses see increased revenue. It's a simple exchange that builds dignity, cleanliness, and community connection all at once.
